JH VIKES COME UP SHORT VS. DREXEL

Junior High football between Midway and Drexel was an exciting affair, Monday, October 5.
Drexel built a 14-0 first quarter lead on the Midway junior high football Vikings, but the JH Vikes battled back in first half. Bobby Zielinski scored on a long run, and Peyton Semsch kicked the point after touchdown to close the gap to JH Bobcats 14 and JH Vikings 7. A Peyton Semsch to Bobby Zielinski touchdown pass made the game even tighter, but a failed point-after attempt left Drexel ahead of Midway 14-13 at the half.
The JH Vikings took a 19-14 third quarter lead on another Peyton Semsch to Bobby Zielinski touchdown pass. The Vikes try for point was no good.
However, Drexel was not defeated. The JH Bobcats scored a touchdown with just 1:32 to go in the game to defeat the JH Vikings 20-19.
Midway's JH Vikings will take a 3-1 record on the road to Archie for a 5:30 PM game, Monday, October 12.
