RAIDERS SPOIL VOLLEYBALL SR/PARENTS NITE

The JV and varsity Lady Vikes volleyball teams concluded the regular season with  home matches against Pembroke Hill on Thursday, October 22. It was the final home match for seniors Callie Mincks, Shannon Carver, Teresa Zielinski, Katie Chouinard, and Janae Semsch.

Pembroke Hill defeated Midway 25-7 and 25-17 in the varsity match.

Madison Turner served 2 aces vs. Pembroke Hill. Katie Chouinard had 6 assists, and Shannon Carver had 1 assist.

Shannon Carver had 4 kills. Hannah Mills had 2 kills. Madison Turner and Katie Chouinard each had 1 kill.

Teresa Zielinski made 9 digs. Shannon Carver made 6 digs, and Madison Turner made 3 digs. Cady Wright and Katie Chouinard each made 2 digs.

Pembroke Hill defeated Midway 25-19 and 25-6 in the JV contest.

Gabby Smith served 2 aces. Destinee Sanchez and Kathleen Yoakum each served 1 ace. Jeanlouise Chrisman made 1 dig.

Kathleen Yoakum had 2 kills and 1 ½ blocks. Payton Mincks had 1 kill and 1 block. Maddie Driggs had 1 kill and ½ block. Paige Kurzweil, Gabby Smith, and Taylor Buck each had 1 kill.

The varsity Lady Vikings will face Miami at 6:00 PM on Monday, October 26 in the first round of the MSHSAA Class 1 District 14 Tournament at Archie High School. The Lady Vikes are the #3 seed in the district tournament. The winner of the Midway/Miami match will face #2 Heartland Academy at 8:00 PM in a district semifinal match.
