MULES KICK VIKES IN LAST FOOTBALL GAME OF '09

Lone Jack's football Mules kicked Midway's football Vikings 29-0 in the final game of the 2009 season for the boys in purple & silver. The game was played at Lone Jack on Friday, October 30.
Neither team scored in the first quarter, but Lone Jack took the lead at 6:04 of the second quarter on a 1 yard touchdown run by Scott Radmacher. The Mules passed unsuccessfully for two, leaving the score Lone Jack 6 and Midway 0.
Dalton Shahan scored the next Mule touchdown at 8:14 of the third quarter on a 27 yard run. Dalton Moss ran in the two-point conversion to make the score Mules 14 and Vikings 0.
The next Lone Jack score came at 4:05 of the third quarter on a 40 yard pass play from Scott Radmacher to Jacob Suhr. Anthony Moore's extra point kick made the score Mules 21 and Vikings 0.
Lone Jack added a 1 yard touchdown by Scott Radmacher at 11:09 of the fourth quarter. Dalton Moss ran in the two-point conversion to make the final score Mules 29 and Vikings 0.
Midway's defense gave up 304 yards to the Mule offense. Midway's offense was held to just 58 total yards by the Lone Jack defense.
Dylan Beshore and Beau Bollinger were the only two Vikings to generate positive yardage on the ground. Dylan ran for 18 yards on two carries. Beau gained 4 yards on 5 carries.
Taylor Ayres completed 5 of his 9 passes for 54 total yards. Zach Goddard caught 2 passes foe 43 yards. Bryan Fregeau caught 2 passes for 6 yards. Dylan Beshore had 1 reception for 5 yards.
Cody Foreman kicked his only kickoff into the end zone for 60 yards. Cody also booted a 55 yard punt. Taylor Ayres punted 4 times, averaging 29.5 yards per punt. Bryan Fregeau returned 3 kickoffs for 48 total yards.
Josh Hague led Midway's defensive effort with 8 unassisted tackles and 3 assists. Ryan Minta had 7 solo tackles and 5 assists. Beau Bollinger and Taylor Ayres each had 5 unassisted tackles and 5 assists. Cody Foreman had 6 solo tackles and 1 assist.
Garrett James had 5 unassisted tackles and 3 assists. Adam Doyle made 5 solo tackles. Tyler Yahnig and Michael Lading each made 4 unassisted tackles and each assisted on 1 tackle. Dilan Worthley had 2 solo tackles and 2 assists.
Kylen Roberson and Zach Goddard each had 2 unassisted tackles. Zach Goddard also picked-off a Lone Jack pass and returned it 24 yards. Tyler Machal had 1 solo tackle. Dalton Driggs assisted on 1 tackle.
The Vikings concluded the 2009 season with an overall record of 6-4 and a record of 5-1 in WEMO Conference play.
"This was an ugly game from start to finish," said Midway head coach Larry Burchett. "It's unfortunate that we didn't make a better showing of ourselves in the last game of the season, but it's over now and time to look toward next year."
