JH TRACK & FIELD COMBO RESULTS

It was a windy, blustery day, but Cass Midway's Junior High track & field teams were able to play host to fourteen teams at the Cass Midway Combo Meet, Thursday, April 9. The pole vault event had to be scrapped for vaulters safety due to the extreme cross winds.

Midway's "A" girls' team placed second with 86 points. The JH Lady Vikes' "B" squad had a seventh place finish with 18 points. Midway's "A" boys' team placed third with 55 points. The JH "B" Vikings participated, but they didn't score in the meet.

Kathleen Yoakum was a double gold medalist for the JH Lady Vikings. Kathleen won the 100 meter dash in a time of 13.60 seconds, and she won the 200 meter dash in a time of 29.08 seconds.

Jessica Owens won the girls' 1600 meter run in a time of 6:30.18. Mady Berkenpas won the 75 meter hurdles in a time of 14.40 seconds. Zoe Eberle cleared 4' 2" to win the high jump.

Bobby Zielinski won the boys' 1600 meter run in a time of 5:34.77, and Bobby was the 200 meter dash champion in a time of 26.57 seconds. Peyton Semsch was first in the 100 meter high hurdles in a time of 18.87 seconds.

Miranda Dahman claimed three silver medals. Miranda was second in the girls' 800 meter run in a time of 3:02.03, and her mark of 28' 0" placed her second in the triple jump. Miranda also cleared a second place height of 4' 0" in the high jump.

The Lady Vikes' 4x400 meter relay team of Kathleen Yoakum, Allie Hayes, Payton Mincks, and Jessica Owens placed second in a time of 5:06.16.

Meghan Everly placed third in the girls' 75 meter hurdles in a time of 15.03 seconds.

Peyton Semsch placed third in the boys' 400 meter dash in a time of 1:07.22. Bobby Zielinski had a third place leap of 14' 4" in the long jump.

Mady Berkenpas tied for fourth place in the girls' 100 meter dash with a time of 14.45 seconds. Destinee Sanchez ran a fourth place time of 3:18.08 in the 800 meter run. Payton Mincks had a fourth place time of 15.13 seconds in the 75 meter hurdles.

Dylan Wise was fourth in the boys' 400 meter dash in a time of 1:08.39. Bobby Zielinski was fourth in the high jump by clearing 5' 0".

Destinee Sanchez placed fifth in the girls' shot put with a mark of 25' ½".

Derald Jayson placed fifth in the boys' 100 meter dash with a time of 13.11 seconds, and Derald was fifth in the long jump with a mark of 14' 0".

Allie Hayes had a sixth place time of 14.47 seconds in the girls' 100 meter dash. Shayla Madden had a sixth place triple jump mark of 25' 2 ½".

The JH "B" Lady Vikes' 4x400 meter relay team of Miranda Dahman, Destinee Sanchez, Meghan Everly, and Mady Berkenpas ran a sixth place time of 5:20.07. The JH Lady Vikes' "A" 4x100 meter relay team of Jessica Owens, Maddy Driggs, Zoe Eberle, and Allie Hayes ran a sixth place time of 1:04.81.

Dylan Wise had a sixth place time of 13.19 seconds in the boys' 100 meter dash.

Cass Midway's junior high teams will host the Eighteenth Annual  Midway Junior High Invitational on Wednesday, April 15.
