ORRICK JUNIOR BEARCAT INVITE

Midway's junior high teams competed at the Orrick Invitational on Thursday, April 23. No official team scores were available following the meet, but we do know the JH Lady Vikes placed second and that the JH Vikings placed fifth.

Jessica Owens won the girls' 1600 meter run in a time of 6:04.29. Cady Wright won the 400 meter dash in a time of 1:05.52. Kathleen Yoakum won the 200 meter dash in a time of 29.79 seconds.

The JH Lady Vikings' 4x400 meter relay team of Kathleen Yoakum, Mady Berkenpas, Jessica Owens, and Cady Wright ran a first place time of 4:40.01.

Bobby Zielinski won the boys' 1600 meter run in a time of 5:26.19.

The JH Vikes' 4x400 meter relay team of Peyton Semsch, Derald Jayson, Dylan Wise, and Bobby Zielinski ran a first place time of 4:15.95.

Zoe Eberle was second in the girls' discus with a toss of 64' 6". Mady Berkenpas ran a second place time of 19.15 seconds in the 100 meter hurdles. Kathleen Yoakum was second in the 100 meter dash in a time of 14.27 seconds. Miranda Dahman was second in the 800 meter run in a time of 2:57.28.

Peyton Semsch was second in the boys' 100 meter hurdles in a time of 17.26 seconds.

Cady Wright ran a third place time of 19.21 seconds in the girls' 100 meter hurdles.

The JH Lady Vikings' 4x100 meter relay team of Allie Hayes, Jessica Owens, Destinee Sanchez, and Mady Berkenpas ran a third place time of 1:01.74.

Derald Jayson leaped 15' 10" to place third in the boys' long jump.

The JH Vikes' 4x200 meter relay team of  Dylan Wise, Derald Jayson, Mitchell Southard, and Peyton Semsch ran a third place time of 1:58.01.

Zoe Eberle cleared 4' 2" to place fourth in the girls' high jump.

The JH Lady Vikings' 4x200 meter relay team of Meghan Everly, Zoe Eberle, Miranda Dahman, and Payton Mincks ran a fourth place time of 2:15.44.

Bobby Zielinski cleared 4' 10" to place fourth in the boys' high jump.

Kathleen Yoakum was fifth in the girls' shot put event with a heave of 29' 3 ½". Miranda Dahman jumped 28' 2 ½" to place fifth in the triple jump. Payton Mincks ran a fifth place time of 20.78 seconds in the 100 meter hurdles.

Mason Irvin spun the boys' discus 84' 9" to place fifth. Peyton Semsch ran a fifth place time of 1:03.37 in the 400 meter dash.

Gabby Smith had a sixth place mark of 60' ½" in the girls' discus. Cady Wright was sixth in the long jump with a mark of 12' 10 ½". Mady Berkenpas was sixth in the high jump clearing 4' 2". Destinee Sanchez was sixth in the 800 meter run in a time of 3:11.12.

Tyler Greer had a sixth place finish in the boys' shot put with a mark of 32' 8 ½". Bobby Zielinski had a sixth place long jump mark of 15' 6". Derald Jayson was sixth in the 800 meter run in a time of 2:47. 88.

Allie Hayes ran an eighth place time of 15.00 seconds in the girls' 100 meter dash.

The JH Vikings and Lady Vikings travel to Archie on Tuesday, April 28 for the Whirlwind JH Invitational.
